Not quite staying at home but it's a Positive
A Whitehaven Hotel, the Georgian House decided to deliver goodies to local Pharmacey staff, Doctors Surgery Staff and the Workington Ambulance Station Staff but needed a bit of support to add some additional cheer. The owner contacted the West Cumbria Old Skool Car Club to ask if a few would like to go in convoy to show appreciation to our Front Line Workers. 15 or so were able to so Cumbria Constabulary were contacted with details of both routes (today and tomorrow) for guidance. Job done, sanctioned

COVID-19 procedures adhered to with regards to Social Distancing and cleanliness etc. We all met up outside the Hotel at 11:30 for a 12:00 kick off. Aerial drone footage for both days will be available next week. A young girl from Egremont made the rainbow ribbons (£5 each, £14k raised so far

) which we all put on our cars to show support and stand out

A boot full of cakes and assorted goodies in the lead Merc (nice car) and a slow, but noisy drive around town delivering goodies to the various Front Line workers and then up to Workington to the Ambulance Station. A sloooooooow drive up the dual carriageway as the top end of the ancient OXO truck was 40 MPH

great truck though

. Back to Whitehaven for Team Photos (Social Distancing adhered to) then home 'till tomoz to more of our Front Line Workers. All very happy to see the convoy, and its noise

and the goodies
