Sorry think I’ll pass on this one as my phone is bad enough.Didn't understand anything only the Corsair which Ford made in the 70s and apparently you’ve bought a new one,My home gaming machine has been in need of a rebuild for a while now... so started off with a new NVME M.2 SSD drive.

It's a bit of a quantum leap from the current Toshiba Q300 SSD drive I currently have. The stats from my preferred bench marking site shows the difference. The old Tosh ranking 389th, against the Samsung at 22nd.

New drive and fresh Windows 10 install, and the machine idles with 2gb extra free memory than before. I'm only running 16gb and I was getting close to hitting that. I'll be upgrading to 32gb soon enough, but 2gb is 2gb!
Next up is to switch over to liquid cooling. I'm running an i7-7700k 4.2ghz overclocked at around 4.8ghz so want the maximum cooling I get from my current be quiet Dark Rock C1. Also should be a little quieter no having this mahoosive fan humming away,.

So it's time for a Corsair H100i Hydro PRO RGB Liquid CPU Cooler

...along with a new Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow case to fit everything in. My current CoolerMaster case won't accommodate the twin fan radiator. Chose white as it won't show the dust as badly as my current black case.

Yet colloquially a quantum leap is used to define a sudden change or large advance in something. Possibly more etymology than pedantry. And quantum = tiny. Don't ya just love pedantry.![]()
Who me?I'm waiting for some Megiars? Ultimate polish so I can get my Zed cleaned of all the wood dust and then polished. Just hope Brian @brilie hasn't had it all
Tony.
Hmmm. Bits of wood, eh? Best keep the door well and truly locked, don't want anyone sneaking around and "tidying", do we?Another little project has been building a table for my recently acquired drill press. One of the final jobs I needed to do was cut out the clamping slots which I needed a straight router bit for. I had to cut down each side of the slot from top and bottom to remove the waste wood.

When I fitted the T-Tracs (for clamping) I had 2 short pieces left over so I decided to install those on the sanding table which I made first, I got those fitted today.

They'll be more use there than in the cupboard. Finally today I continued making some hold down clamps from some "scrap" bits of plywood. Rough cut to shape glued and screwed together. Then sanded down to shape (almost finished, a bit more to remove), I made some half round spacers to allow them to pivot (rake handle now a couple of inches shorter) and drilled to 8mm, The clamps were drilled through at 8mm and then the bottom side slotted to allow for an angle to be achieved.

It has kept me busy for the last few weeks doing a bit each day or when I had the things needed. One more item in the works waiting on an 8mm straight router bit due next week.
Tony.
Your a bad man, stretching the postal services like that
Oh my god, another bad man using the postal servicesI'm waiting for some Megiars? Ultimate polish so I can get my Zed cleaned of all the wood dust and then polished. Just hope Brian @brilie hasn't had it all

For all that mayhem, and having to remove and refit the radiator 4 times it's whisper quiet. It's so quiet when running now that I can hear the hard drives in my NAS backup unit under the desk spinning.
How's she holding up though? Been running for the last 40 minutes, running an intensive game in the background and at around 50-60 degrees. That's only cooling through the cooler radiator fans as I'm waiting for a SATA fan splitter lead so I can plug the three front fans in, although pretty sure they aren't needed right now.

....then it would be completely pointless for what it's purpose is.....If only it had a Mac OS..........![]()
