Nothing out of the ordinary, go give it a run and bed the pads into the discs. Well done getting it completed. Now good luck for the MOT.

Tony.

It's back on it's wheels! Re-checked for weeping this morning, no sign of anything, so I put the wheels back on. For teh record, if you use a pneumatic tool, make sure you don't get oil projections on the discs as you put the wheels back on! Happened to me, luckily I spotted it and use the spray to clean them all back...

Went for a gentle drive. The pedal is there, but I suspect the brakes needs 'bedding' as it's definitly not braking sharpish. I smelled a bit of a cooked smell which I assume is the coating on the disc being burned out, the smell stopped pretty quickly too. I examined the discs and they all have traces of braking now, and the braking is 'straight' ie no jiggling or anything.

And no lights! I assumed I'd get the ABS to start with at least, but nope, nothing!

So I think I'm good! Thanks everyone for the help over these 4 pages!

For internet, posterity and google searching, DO use the pressure bleeder, it works, it allowed me (a complete newb) to bleed the brakes by myself and that was the easiest part of the whole operation too :)

Easy job, really, wasn't it?;) Congratulations, just give it a couple of hundred miles before everything beds in properly. And if you see someone on here talking about brake overhauls, just shout PRESSURE BLEEDER at them. Wonderful things, wouldn't be without mine.

They are when you pull out a shaft and you hear gears falling down inside along with thrust washers and other strange bits of metal! Oh, and those springs that leap out and disappear into the the cobwebs in the corner of the garage...
