When is a ‘wide body’ actually a wide body?

There is really only one , the original MK1 2.8 (an Z3M)

The facelift is ‘medium’ body-its not as wide but all models used the same size rear wing after facelift

It’s only the MK1 2.8 that has the same width as the M models and Coupe models.
Not sure I agree with that, the sills on the pre face lift (except the 1.9) fit the face lift so the wing size is the same at the front bottom, surely the difference is the wing shape, low on the pre and humped on the face lift? I'm betting the width is the same and its an optical illusion

Yeah, I thought the pre-facelift 2.8 looks the widest due to the tapered shape (which is why some prefer it) but is in fact the same width as facelifts (which is my personal preference cos I like the pointyness)

Facelift = younger and more beautiful version of it's older, uglier predecessors .

Based on those muffin tops, I'd suggest facelift versions.

I remember someone having done some measurements and 4mm either side or something. I think it was @Antm72 who had some data.
Is there not a difference been 2.8 MK1 and facelift trailing arms?

The facelift can be made to look very wide with the right stance courtesy of @Lee
