Was that the Asda just out of town Shelly?
Shirl said it was manic in Gainsborough at Morrison's, Tesco and M&S.

People are afraid...they can’t control the virus but they can control what they buy. Frankly, this is bonkers and people need to stop panic buying. What about people on low incomes who can’t bulk buy? Goodness, at this rate, no-one will be able to shop for anything.

No it’s where my nephew lives :)
Yes Morrison’s was crazy today , people had lots off trolleys full with food and bits , also Iceland , Asda , Tesco’s , :(
With all this going on in the shops, it makes it very scary :(

Was in Tesco in Coventry this morning and almost everyone seemed to be being sensible. A few trolleys piled high but most were normal amounts. There was no pasta, soap and loo rolls though but everything else was stocked as normal. It'll be quieter and back to near normal in the supermarkets in a few days I expect.

Does your nephew live in Spain or Italy? All the labels are in Spanish or Italian. If not he’s either been taken in by a spoof photo, or is having a laugh.

All's good in Whitehaven, no signs of panic buying with all supermarkets fully stocked.

My granddaughter works in o e of the local Walmarts here. She sent Miss Sandi a pic of the cleaning supplies and paper product aisles. It looked like they had just installed them. Not even dusty. I find it interesting that there appears to be no shortage of food items, but not a piece of TP or drop of cleanser to be had. People will starve to death, but they'll be clean from top to bottom

Cleanliness is next to Godliness. God help the rest of the non panicking people. We just shopped our usual weekly and didn’t add anything extra, but Asda had run out of toilet rolls etc.
I still refuse to use the daily papers, even the Times.
Think I’ll panic buythat product that induces constipation,:wacky: problem solved.

On one of my rare occasions I accompanied the wife food shopping under the usual duress. Food was ok but noted no hand sanitizers but soap and water is the best thing but nice to have for when your out and about and not tissue paper or paracetamol. but one thing I’ve noticed at our local Sainsbury’s during the last year was the shortage or lack of choices in several things either down to Sainsbury’s policy of cutting lines or due to brexit.

I have a police scanner app and have been listening to radio calls at my old precinct in NYC. There was a job given to a radio car to respond to a local grocery store, customers fighting over toilet paper...:bored:

Funny thing about the toilet paper. What actually makes it worth its weight in gold in this kind of situation? I've been following the madness around toilet paper here in Finland, where we basically have nothing but forests and lakes. So one would assume that we are the last ones to run out of toilet paper, but seems that general public is not having that. All the stores are out of it.

I heard a rumor that this craze started originally from Australia where they don't actually have forests and rely on China for toilet paper, which at least remotely makes sense.
