Yep, already been looking at the upgrade list :).
Just got a brushed 540 motor for now, which will still be quicker than what I used to have. No where near as quick as your cars though Ian.
Looking great pal, my brushless 17.5t has turned up but my esc has gone missing in the post, still not running

Watching a you tube vid today and a guy gets 121 mph out of an electric tamiya, the speed it goes past him is shocking

My eyes wouldn't be able to keep up with it.

I think my hornet as standard does about 18mph  I'll probably struggle with that, one guy on youtube gets over 40 mph out of one

The spray paint arrived late yesterday, as did the battery charger and a replacement for a part I accidentally broke.

Just got to paint the driver figure at some point. Struggling to get some things related to this hobby as everywhere seems to be selling out of stuff on line.

One thing I'd forgotten with these cars is how much open space you really need to run them, it's seems ridiculously quick in the garden.
Having said that, Sara's ordered a skate board ramp for it to practice some little jumps, yes I know.....childish.....but I'm loving it :) and now she's got the bug and wants one =)).

Nice little hobby RC vehicle Bozzy, my grandsons birthday present turned up here last week and we tried it in the living room and only just managed to stop it hitting the cast iron fire grate. Haven’t tried it outside yet but have acquired a piece of 4ply to make him a ramp. I’ll put some pics up when I’ve made one here’s the RTR car I’ve got for him. “Yes” I know I’ve cheated buying a ready built one but it’s looking like I may have caught the bug and if this car goes as good as it’s supposed to I’ll be looking at a build. Wife won’t be thanking you or Shaun as she thinks the real ones are bad enough.lol Here’s a couple of pics.DD751A87-0163-4EC6-B634-07E81CDCE47E.jpeg563D89C1-FF80-4EC9-A87A-7D4D92503621.jpegF9A0A913-F6F0-4B7E-8B80-6920C16ED6AB.jpegD2B7E44C-97B6-4F6B-8B99-72CB4BC1809A.jpeg95FA97B6-9376-4A94-85D3-3CF3478CDEF6.jpegFCDADBDC-7AD6-4AA5-9556-550CBF1B48F2.jpegAFC4A69C-6E40-4BCC-AE92-9BDF2BB83932.jpeg

Cant believe it’s got fully adj Coilovers but was disappointed to read the run time on supplied batt was 10-15min.
Well knowing how disappointed he would be by this runtime I’ve purchased another two batts so with any luck we might get about 30-40mins if I dial the speed down a little, plus I wouldn’t get a go if all we had was only
one batt.:ymdevil:

I don't any longer have the reaction time to drive the fastest one to the max. Just like a real car - need to be quick but smooth on the controls.

Looks a well built car Roy, even has countersunk chassis screws .
Definitely a good idea to buy extra batteries.

You'd enjoy building one from a kit mate, it's really rewarding.

Watch your ankles now :whistle:=)).

Yes I know what you mean Ian, I'm much the same. My reaction time definitely isn't what it used to be .
Hope you and Gail are keeping well.

Think it’s got a speed control Bozzy so the little fella won’t break it first time out. Be garden only until they lift the isolation. It’ll probably get broken if he hits any of the raised pathing so will use all the garden furniture cushions to try and protect it. Will be glad when the parks open again they’re so open chances of hitting something are far less likely. Now I’m itching to get this ramp made but still have jobs on the list, so have to be careful how I negotiate.
It’s supposed to have speed of 25mph and I’ve no idea how fast that is for RC cars.

Roy.

Just a coat of white paint to make it stand out on the tarmac or grass.
Now we can keep everything plus RC car together and carry it to the park.

Nicely built pal, looks great, molly and I have been having a blast with ours, and yes you need a shed load of room, we have a great bit of road that leads onto a farm track which is covered in gravel and also a grass island with jumps, we have trashed the shell but these are bullitt proof, I'm also struggling to get parts and cancelled the buggy I ordered, however I have another 4x4 on the way, this was after the first day, we are using 3000 batteries and getting 50 mins of flat out fun, it's been rolled and end over end dozen of times

Cracking job there Roy . However after cobling together a make shift ramp this afto in the back garden, you may be better off putting the two halves side by side as it's so easy to miss it with the car. Mind you your grandson will have much sharper responses than me ;).
Really like how you've made it carry case as well..

Holy s*** mate, you've given it a rather trying shake down test .
At least you and Molly are using it as it should be, for fun..
Rolled mine once or twice today :banghead:, no damage though. Like you said they are bloody tough little things.

Sara had a go with mine today and now she's ordering herself one similar to mine :wideyed:

You're lucky where you are mate with all that open space on your door step.
What have you ordered now ?.

I've ordered a TT02-B, more of an entry level 4 wheel drive tamiya, gets mixed reviews but it's not like I'm going to race it, it good that Sarah wants one, molly is hooked, she is having the hornet but it's getting a Beatle shell on it
