With two overs to go in England's innings I thought we'd not got a chance, then Stokes with his 6 & his 2 + 4 (6) in last over made the tie possible. Then the nail biting Super Over, what a finish, you couldn't have scripted it any closer.

We managed to get to Trent Bridge for match against Pakistan (very disappointing result), then to our local venue at Chester-Le-Street against NZ which was a great result (we even had a streaker!!).
However this match was unbelievable, NZ played well. They really didn’t do a lot wrong but I think it was in the stars that England would win.

I was talking to one of the consultants at work who’s an avid cricket fan was pleased at the result but no so keen on this game of whack it. He’s looking forward to the test matches. I was never really into watching cricket preferred to be actually playing it but I must say I wished I could have watched this game.

1966 Football World Cup on TV in UK
2003 Rugby World Cup following it on laptop in Iraq
2019 Cricket World Cup on TV & TMS in UK. Must have listened to TMS Podcast about 6 times today.

Gives the game away that I must be getting on a bit!!!
