Hi all.
I know this has been covered loads , but I'm bored, Its pi*@#ng it down outside and I thought about time I went and had a look at Bella and give her some love...
So my main projects last year -
Get the 78's refurbished.
Upgrade to the larger vented disk & calipers set up rather than the stock solid disk.
Space the wheels out.
Now this has all been done, I really need to drop the car , the gap between the wheel arch and top of tyre looks huge
I want to order some over the weekend so any feedback would be greatly received.
Can these be fitted to the standard shock absorber set up??
The popular option seems to be the Eibach route with a listed drop of up to 30mm, but H&R are also a upgrade people have used, again they list this at 30mm drop.
Apex are the cheapest, but I think the 40mm drop would be a little too much.
@Shortie_gal - am I right you have the H&R set up on your Zed, I love how your car sits, did you get 30mm drop with them or was it more?
Both are priced roughly the same when you look around, Is one better than the other or have most people gone the Eibach route, purely because it is tried and tested by more people?
Once I start to work on the car I will also look at the shocks themselves to see if they are past their sell by date,
the car has done around 60,000 now. I would love a set of Bilstein B8's but I dont think the piggy bank will stretch to that,I think it will be the standard Sachs shocks unless there is a massive improvement using the B8's. Im not a fast driver in the Zed so it maybe a pointless upgrade?
