What have you bought for your Zed this week?

I've seen a few replace these. How do you know they need replacing, daft Q maybe but what triggers the need, does the seat wobble, not slide back and forth etc ??.
The seat slides back and forth when braking or accelerating, only by a few mm but noticable. Mine have been needing doing for some years but I lived with it. The problem doesn't affect the movement of the seat using the motors. As I said above I found the hardest part was removing the seat from the car...why are they so heavy and awkward to get a grip on;)

Righto, I don't think mines suffering that but ill check next time. Cheeks for the reply 👌

This week it's been a new tank purge valve, new rear intake boot (old one split. There's a surprise!) and a new brake vacuum hose (old one has collapsed).
Ordered the intake boot and hose from BMW dealer on 5th May. Was told five days. Still haven't got them.
Ordered the purge valve from eBay on 11th May. Turned up on 13th and fitted same day. Shame it's really noisy!

Bought some new bonnet rubber protector 'Foils' for the Z3.
Part numbers i got of here from another member. Looks like you only need 1 part number for 2 foils NS & OS. That being 51 14 8 410 662. £4.61 plus VAT.

Had the tyres I previously ordered fitted on Tuesday, tram lining issue appears to be resolved. Today was new clutch day - now no noisy bearing whirring which is awesome, new brake fluid - brake pedal now totally firm, replacement gearbox and diff oil, and a new rocker gasket - hopefully no more oil leakage! Thanks to Hughes Brothers in Derby, as always. Getting there now, cat back exhaust replacement needed at some point and we will treat her to a mohair hood.

Front bearing kits for the Z3View attachment 362529
Visited @colb at Zedshed Cymru yesterday to fit these. The off side front was done first as this was where the noise and vibration was coming from. The near side, we found out, was pretty new so had been already done therefore we didn't change that one. Makes sense that it was time for the OS one to give up. Changed the front brakes also whilst we were there. Was a good drive home and such a difference from the drive there!

If you need them you'll know. Sit in the seat and try to scoot forwards and backwards. If the seat moves a few mm with an annoying click/clunk. Then you need them. If fhe seat is rock solid then you don't.

Edit. Sorry. Answering an old post. 🤷‍♂️

Hmm.. the list is long and distinguished…

fuel pump assembly, eng and tranny mounts, coil over kit, center bearing, main rear seal, complete front geo set, including control arms. New transmission bush. New used z3m mirrors black, new headlight pull knob. New shift knob, new rear 20mm spacers, new lifters for frnt hood and rear boot. Near rear window, new bottle of Renovo black. New guibo.

The catalytic converter suddenly developed the dreaded death rattle, so Hughes Brothers in Derby are supplying and fitting a replacement.

A new MoT certificate, all clean.

The staff at Basingstoke MoT & Tyre Centre, Lennox Road remarked how amazingly clean and sorted the underneath is. Thanks to @Lee @GazHyde @Oldguysrule of ZedShed HQ for their sterling works in 2024. This is the 3rd MoT since the refurb.

Just need to do more miles as it's only 34.637 since I got it new in August 1998.

A working air con system. May need it for our upcoming Euro trip
