I just bought this with free delivery.......I was sitting here thinking about all those jobs over the years where I needed a pillar drill. Luckily most places I worked had a tool shop so I had acces to one.......but since retiring its been a pain not having one..
.so now my motto is , if I want one then get one

Should have bought one about 20 years ago, but better late than never.
Would have got a better spec one one but it was too tall for where it has to go.
This one has lots of good reviews so should be ok what what I need.

I've been going through exactly the same thought process. Getting access to a toolroom (and some very skilled Toolmakers) was never a problem until I retired. Think I'll take the plunge and buy one now, together with a bench grinder.

To be honest the main thing I'll miss from work is the press, and possibly Oxy/Acetylene bottles.

I'm addicted, that's not even half of the stuff I've got for cleaning! He actually got me some power tools, think he's finally had enough of his going missing

I still have an empty space where a sliding mitre saw used to be.

They've all been treated pretty well

Panther got a subframe swap with powerflex kit all round just before Xmas

Sunny got a set of shift detents

Smurf got a rear window cover and winter car care kit

And Rhubarb got 2 new rear wings, 2 new front wings, a new parcel shelf, power steering pipe, M gills and a set of shift detents!
