Hi
A couple of days ago I got a P1580 fault (Engine throttle, mechanical fault (sluggish/stuck)) on my Z3. I have taken the throttle body out and cleaned it. However, just working the mechanism manually (to simulate using the accelerator pedal), I am finding that sometimes the bit that opens the valve (not sure that's the right word) sticks still. I assume it shouldn't, but just wanted to be sure. If it shouldn't stick, any clues what the problem might be? Just more cleaning needed?
The first photo shows the throttle off and the second photo shows the throttle fully open, but notice that the bit that should open the valve is still in the off position in the second photo. (If I touch this it flicks open.)
I am a bit out of my depth here. Thanks for any help
