My Dad was in the Para's back in the day, he's long gone now though. He gave me a little book when I was a kid that he'd been given on how to keep fit in a small room/space. I suppose it was in case they were ever taken prisoner or similar. There were loads of exercises routines you could do with a table and chair and door frame etc. I lost the little book years ago but I keep reminiscing about the stuff I read.

Just moved into a new house the day before the lock down. Other half is a nurse so I dont get to see her much.

Loads of house related projects already completed.

Only down side is my online shopping habits for have gone out of control.
But the plus side is the Z3 will be better then ever. :)

Just been out for my lovely walk in the sun :)
It took me a hour and ten minutes and I only see about 14 people :)

While I was working in the garage yesterday I did notice some new faces on the lake next door.
20200330_144734.jpg

A Grebe diving for food, first time I've seen these in here.
Also a Moor Hen, common birds but not here for many years.

Yes, it really is there, honest.
And finally the Big Grey Man (as Neil calls him) getting brave enough to venture up to our end of the lake.

Sorry for picture quality, taken through mucky tinted windows.;)
Just because no one has been fishing since a week last Saturday.

Tony.

Went for a walk early this morning and combined it with some litter picking. Next I am going to clean the fridge. Living the dream =))

More visitors today.
20200331_145931.jpg

Last time we had swans on here was the year after the lake was dug. A pair nested on the island, they sometimes do visit but not nested for 10 years now. Maybe this year they will.

Tony.

Wildlife will thrive during this time pal, grebes are generally shy and will not tolerate huge numbers of anglers

That’s why I was surprised to see it Sean. There is a member of the Grebe family which also inhabits the lake at the rear of our villa in Florida along with Mallards (they’re everywhere) and a couple of species of Egrets and Turkey Buzzards which are definitely not scared of humans and have a 6ft wingspan. Also Sand Cranes which stand about 3ft 6” tall.

We used to get Great Crested Grebe and Little Grebe at our local gravel pits when I were a lad. The gravel pits have long been redundant and are now used to keep the canals topped up. I think they call them header pools

Pretty sure I saw a cormorant on the bridge in the middle of Aberdaron the other day, just standing in the sun and enjoying the unusual amount of quietness and peace in the normally full-of-chuffing-tourists village. Every cloud etc.
