A bit of facetime with the grandsons and a robot build challenge, I lost. Still

my new bird box appears to be attracting some Blue tits. That all aside I managed to get a set of 17's for my Zed, a thorough clean & rebalance, they have Perrelli P7's fitted, and the car is transformed.Tcut all over. Just itching to get some driving in and the resumption of motor sport.

Stay safe & well

I've had a bird box up in my garden for 6 years or so, but never noticed any usage. Now we have the time take morning coffee outside in the sunshine we have noticed a pair of Blue Tits using it, coming and going, using our bird bath and singing away at the very top of our tree in the evenings.
The Blackbirds perch close to the back door in the mornings waiting for me to give them their morning Sultanas.
We also have a visiting Sparrow Hawk which flashes through the garden on occasions.

Painted half my garden fence with creocote and ran out. I have ordered some from Wickes. They are two minutes up the road and have a contactless click and collect service. Whatever that is. I almost put my shorts on as it's been quite sunny

I had my shorts on yesterday and the day before. The sun was Quite hot yesterday.

Talking of shorts, my Band was setting up for a summer gig in a pub when Paul our guitarist turned round to us and said
" You know guys, I nearly came in my shorts this evening." Of course, the rest of us doubled up with laughter at this, before he realised what he said. Good job the mic. he was adjusting wasn't on!

But why did you run out when you had painted half the fence? Did something frighten you? o_O

Jill asked me to do a nude painting. "Ok" I said but it didn't end well. I'd only been up the ladders 5 minutes when her next door reported me to the cops

No mate, but I don't chuck some Fairy Liquid in anymore, they don't seem to like that.

Put the shorts on today. Finished painting the fence. Watered about 150 pots. For the first time in a couple of weeks I have been quite busy at home. Spending the next two days volunteering in a community garden so that will keep me occupied and in the sunshine :)

Been trying to acquire some tomato plants, have got some "Gardener's Delight" which Shirl loves. These grow like grapes on a vine and will produce much more than we can eat so I'll be leaving these at the gate asking people not to be too greedy.
I like bigger Toms like Money Maker or "Shirleys" so still on the scrounge! Going to grow these in grow bags so will put some lettuce in too, maybe some Spring Onions (Scallions, Salad Onions).

I don't like tomatoes, or onions, not that keen on lettuce really either. If you could leave some chips by the gate I'll nip over, I won't be greedy :D

If anyone into cricket, TMS archived broadcast of the Headingly Ashes test match is being transmitted by BBC on 5 Live Extra and online at BBC Sport. Not everybody's cup of tea, but Judith and I are really into our cricket. We went on Day 2 of the match and the atmosphere was fantastic. Just wish we'd been there on last day for Ben Stokes's innings particularly with Leach and his ONE RUN!!
Its raining at the moment so they are just chatting, the best is yet to come. On everyday 10:25 till 6:00pm.
