178 miles!
Up through Ashby-de-la-Zouche to Derby , Wirksworth, Youlgreave, Monyash, Magpie Mine then on to Bakewell for an urgent pit stop. Sat by the river and ate lunch. Then on up through Calver, past Longshaw, Hathersage, Hope and Castleton, Winnats Pass, down to Ashford, Bakewell down through Wirksworth and on to Ashbourne, a detour through Derby (cos I wasn't concentrating :( - won't go there again) Ticknell and Ashby again, Twycross and home.

Got home with a rattle - heat shield I suspect. Well shattered too now.
Well bloody Nora, you almost went past my house we're not far from Ashby de la Zouch......i wondered why all the border gates were on lock down....

they must have known you were on the way =))........only kidding =)).
You skirted @Synclare's place as well, thought we may have seen him today as well.
How can so many of us be in the same area and not cross paths ?.
I think the Mints were around there as well with Martin and Stacey ..........we must try harder :).

Saw only 2 Zds all day, very surprising since loads of you were apparently out :)

Great day in the Peaks headed over to The Shady Tree, Whaley Bridge - purple 05 Z4 in the car park. Weather fabulous and roads a tad crowded in places. The other Zed 4 spotted heading east on the A57 this morning. So where were all the others then ?

Past Tonys this afternoon but didn't really have time to call in, ( tbh wasn't sure which one it was and didn't fancy door knocking :nailbiting: )

Still a good day covering 240 miles.:D

Hi @Toby, if you came from A1133 and left onto the A156 at Torksey Lock you just needed to turn right instead of left. Last house on right .

154 miles for me buzzing around some amazing very steep and twisty hills to Riber Village, on to Elton and Winster via Darley Dale steam railway, up to Youlgreave and stopped for the customary brew and sarnies just down from Magpie Mine on the moors. Visited the bookstore at Brierlow Bar before going on to Hollinsclough, Hartington, Butterton, Grindon, Milldale etc. Sun was a bit too fierce for good photos but here goes . . . . . . .. . oooh yes, got flashed (with headlights) by a pale blue z3 going into Hartington as I was coming out, thought it may have been @Bozzy but appears not.

Brew and sarnies near Magpie Mine. What time were you @Redline?

Hartington village, Moz's favourite spot

The roads were awash with classic convertibles, this one in Hartington. All day I saw Jags, Triumphs, Austins, Mercs, classic tractors they were all out.

Puffing Billy at Darley Dale, wasn't half belching it out. Long while since I've stopped on a road/rail crossing and watched a steam train go by!

The start of a VERY long, narrow and fun road out of Elton via Dale End to Middleton, thought I'd strayed onto a private farm track but no it was the main road, hedgerows were just amazing at this time of year, definitely at their best.

Taken just after finding a nice little ford between Ecton and Butterton - take note @Bozzy and @lowrider! Spent majority of the time cruising single track byways and boy are there some out there.
Hope everyone else had a good day whether cruising or fixing / mending their zed

Some great pics there Adrian
Again can't believe our paths didn't cross .
Looks like you had a top day .
We didn't cover so many miles as we had to be back by 3pm for our Tom.
I would be up for a gathering and cruise,it seems there's still loads of places in the Dales that I don't know about :).

Funny you should say that - the field next to us had lots of cows. No buttercups though...
