Hi all.

I about to get my 78's powder coated and wondered what colour looks best against a sapphire blk zed.

Do I stay the OEM light silver, go the Anthracite route or looking at @Brian H wheels he has on sale the shadow chrome route of some style?
What i definitely do not want is black or really dark wheels.
Has anyone got any photos of alloys fitted please.

Second question -
They are staggered, tyres all round are currently 225/45 R17.
I will be fitting spacers at some stage.
I need to change the rears, what is the best seized tyre to go for - looks wise

a) 225/45 R15
2) 245/45 R17
3) 245/40 R17

Quite like the Hankook tyres,I have the K120's on my other car already but any views on these for Zeds.

245 40 17 or maybe even 255 40 17 - I'd like to see a 255 35 17, not sure what it would do to the ride.

Try and get down to @Tim beard he can do you shadow chrome as dark or bright as you like.
Mine came out just the way I was looking for -darker than normal but not too dark to lose the shape:

The shade changes in the light, pictures don't capture it properly.

I have a set of 78's I'm supposed to sell but what to give the same treatment as this.

Lookin good m8. I like the 193s on the Z3.
What size are those you have 18s? If so how do you find the ride?
Also, can you point me to where to get the chrome stone guards please.

Cheers. Yup, 18's and find the ride great (lowered 30mm). @t-tony supplied the stone guards.

Had mine powder coated in sparkle silver, but every time I see them now I fancy getting them done in a darker colour ready for next winter.

I wouldn't go too dark on your car, shadow chrome would look good but I would probably go for something bright on a black car. Unless you want the mean look.

Few of mine

That's interesting. I've heard a few reviews saying 18s compromise the ride.
I had 22s on a Panamera with lowered suspension and while they looked the dogs, you could feel every single stone on the road.
I'm pleased to hear from a forum member that the ride is still very good on 18s.

Did 1200 miles in a few days last month with no issues. Stuck Avon tyres on all round and runs sweet as

When it comes to tyre sizes bear in mind that these cars can be very sensitive to any difference between front and rear, try https://tiresize.com/comparison/ to make sure you're staying close, fitted new rears and ran them for a couple of weeks till I fitted the new fronts, drove the DSC crazy.
(Other tyre size comparison websites are available)
