If the car is driveable in the current seated position, your more than welcome to pop down to I'll have a look at getting it moving for you.Hi Jjim thanks for getting in touch. I don't live to far from you, I live just outside Retford.
Thanks for the offer but the z has no tax or test and I've only been doing it up for a couple of months, I used to be mechanic down the mines so I'm not going to let a seat beat me ( yet anyway) but again thanks for the offerIf the car is driveable in the current seated position, your more than welcome to pop down to I'll have a look at getting it moving for you.
I'm actually fitting a seat motor and seat bushes for another forum member on Saturday 2nd March. Let me know.
Dun it, it took a while to fathom out the prob as to why the seat wouldn't move, the worm mechanism on both sides were Jamed, don't know why, but the motor wouldn't turn them. I removed both sides using a L shaped star driver , it took an age could only move the screws a fraction at a time as they are in the runner. Once out I ground a longish bolt squar to fit the hole where the spindle is when removed and put the cordless on the bolt and presto the seats moved so I could get to the rear bolts ( seat out) only prob I need to sauce two seat adjusting worms ?If the car is driveable in the current seated position, your more than welcome to pop down to I'll have a look at getting it moving for you.

Thanks for that but I only need a couple of worm adjusters and I'm done, now got to get the carpet out . Is any job on the Z easyGetting thereI have a couple of motorless seat bases. You can have them for free. But I can’t post them as they are too heavy. And I’m in Swindon which is a trek for you.
