Guys and Girls. I am after a little help.

A friend of mines son, in the USA, is carrying out a school project over the course of the next few months. They have asked the students to get friends and "friends of friends" to send in post cards from anywhere in the world so that they can put them on a map of the world that takes up a classroom wall (though they are expecting most to come from the USA states, and I would love to I've them a pleasant surprise).

The purpose is that they will discuss where the cards have come from and what is around the areas of each card.

So what I am asking for is anyone, anywhere in the world, who is up for it to please send a post card with a few words saying that your a worldwide member of Zroadster.org and we share a worldwide interest and camaraderie, hence we are sending examples of our local picture post cards.

If your up for it please send it to:

As a kid I used to collect postcards and still have them. I'm guessing they would be worth a few quid.

What A Great Idea sorry I have sent one from Southport today already and I don't think we should insist but I do think it is a great Idea I shall take it up for some of the ones I plan to send from my travels this year when I can. but it could even be an idea for people to say where they sent one from. I like that I idea.

I showed him the map of members and suggested I would ask my friends to send some and he just went google eyed and just said wow!

OOH I think that could be a problem. The discussion might be a little risky for a primary school topic. A bit like the meaning behind the names of the captain pug wash characters. I think if the class was older I would say yes because of the discussion around the difference in laws in different countries but I think that is out of the age range of a primary school. I like the idea though from a discussion point on differing societal mores and customs.

But in truth it would not offend me, if you did send it and if the teacher thought it was inappropriate she could "not declare" it so to speak so I think yes go for it. Maybe on the back mention that some laws are different in other countries and you thought it might make a discussion point and that if inappropriate we knew she could hold it back and just acknowledge the cards arrival so that the teacher doesn't think we are out to shock and that you thought that might be a great discussion point. (I don't think I would feel the same about a postcard depicting the red light district which Amsterdam is famous for in my mind, LOL)

As I say my initial reaction thinking about a primary school, which I forgot to tell people it was, was OOH but thinking about it I don't think there is anything wrong in it especially as in some states of the USA the Canabis laws are different to others and I have no idea what they are in Illinois AND the teacher has a censorship capability.

LOL That is brilliant while I was composing exactly the things I forsaw have been posted. I like the humour! Made me smile. Especially as your first one made me think about things. Thanks HT ( by the way the one you chose of the Red Light District is actually a good choice but not a discussion point for a primary school project. In my case nor a college or university, unfortunately I had no idea that sort of thing existed till far too late in life! I first went round a red light district in Amsterdam in the 1980's and really enjoyed the visit and would recommend it to anyone with an open mind. LOL I thought the museum of Sex was fascinating, I must go back again sometime).

Posted this afternoon, in Yvonne's best hand writing so they don't think it was sent by a 1 year old!
Sounds like my sort of a plan Andy, good idea, much nicer if they can actually read it!=))
