Oil filter socket size

Hi guys, can anyone help.

Doing an oil change on the 1.9, can't get the filter housing off using chain or strap so going to have to buy a oil housing socket as the housing doesn't have the bolt top thingymabobber on it.

There seems to be a few, 77, 76, 84 mm etc, anyone any idea ?

Don't buy those cups. Buy one like this which covers many sizes.

Could have done with one of them last week, Punto oil filters are ridiculously close to the block. Got it in the end, but took an awful lot of swearing. And then I find that CES have sent the wrong filter.

That just compounds the aggro mate. TBH these days you need a lot of different oil filter tools. In fact I bought one in Walmart last May and it is very useful.
