New Memeber: 2000 Z3 2.8

Hi,
I've just bought a 2000 Z3 2.8, it's in need of a bit of TLC. The bodywork needs a bit of care - especially the sills and at the moment there's quite a bit of body roll and tramlining and the passenger seat doesn't move forward or backward.

But we've had a few nice days and coming home on the twisty windys with the roof down is what it's all about

I have a couple of other cars at the moment (1971 Triumph Herald, 2015 I8) and have bought this as a bit of a project and something I can work the gearbox and get some nice sounds before everything goes electric.

Welcome to the club, I’m also a new member and have found the forums an excellent source of information on the Z3. The seat motor for forward and back drive is visible under the front of the seat, try giving it a few sharp taps with a socket extension whilst operating the switch . Advice from this site which got the Seat lift motor working on my car.
