Hi all on zroadster.
I am an old owner (64) and just bought my first BMW, its a Z3 3.0i with full sports pack. I would normally be playing with 4x4s and computer networks. This Z3 came up for sale at a reasonable price (I hope have not really checked just went on instinct) its only got 21k on the clock and really nice condition. The forums have already helped me on how to reset the service lights, its been having an oil change every 1500 miles which is just silly. Hoping to install retro fit cruise control. (found another great article in the forum).
I also hope that I might even be able to post some advice on the forums in the future.
Thanks all
Ben

Welcome Ben!

Judging tyre wear on a car you just bought is difficult, the previous owner could have just thrown anything on to sell it. That said, rubber suspension components if original are now 15 years old so that may account for it as well. Probably needs a really close eye over the whole suspension system and replacing items as needed. It's really not unusual for a 15 year old Z3 to still have original suspension components still fitted. We even see the 20 year old ones with original shock absorbers on them.

Hello and welcome from Truro. Looks like a great find. I can't see anything being worn out after 21k miles, other than tyres, no matter how old the car is.

Welcome from New Zealand.

You'll enjoy the 3.0 L Z3, just be respectful of the weight of your right foot

Hi GazHyde
Thank you for the information, it probably is all original. I have looked through the service history and could not find any work being done on the suspension, I will check it out.
Thanks again
Ben
