I have a 2000 BMW M Roadster I recently purchased and have addressed almost all the fix-it items the car needed to be where I want it to be. One of the last items I have is involving the rear tension bow strap on the convertible top. This is the strap that runs above the rear window I believe. I have searched online and used AI to understand where it goes and how to fix it (Appears to be glued to interior roof and I can see glue reside on both the roof and strap), but can't find a picture anywhere online of an interior shot to make sure I have it correct before I begin the fix. So I am asking for help if someone could send me a picture of the interior of their convertible top. I am interested in the back, near the top of rear window and the sides where the strap attaches.
There is a velcro attachment on one side in the middle of the strap. I am not sure if that is original and/or if it was supposed to attach to some part of the inner liner that may be missing.
For 2000, this cars has the dual liner and semi-automated top.
