I then turned and looked behind me,

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,

Now I am one of two again,

Someone put it on Facebook and I thought it was worth a share. I think it’s very well written too.

I will read it to Shirl, I know it will bring her to tears. She shed a few at lunchtime when we read about the Queen's passing.
It appeared not to mean much to our server when Shirl said the Queen had died, and when we left she said, "Have a great day", probably out of habit.

That's really true. I was born in 1957.
At this time she had been Queen since five years.

I am watching the Manchester United game on bt sport ( free with phone ) and there was no pre match .
Got to half time no adverts ( black screen with bt sport on it then couple of minute video montage ( no half time analysis) now second add break same no adverts just black screen .
So they are only showing the actual live parts of the 90 mins and that's it .

No advertisement boards lit at Old Trafford they are all black.
Minutes silence at start of match you could have heard a pin drop.
