FOG LIGHTS

Hi all,

So this weekend I fitted fog lights to my Zed, they were not originally on as standard but as those that know the wiring is all there to just plug and play. So, I fitted the fogs (OEM) and the new relay (OEM) and the new switch (OEM), they work but are on all the time as soon as headlights are on and this is without the switch being pressed!

What am I missing? Have I done something wrong?

Take your DC Volt meter in one hand, your Z3 wiring diagrams in the other hand and work your way through the circuit to find the problem.

There ae 6 sets of wiring diagram that cover the production run of the Z3's. You need you build date mm/yy. Go to the resource section of this forum, see top blue ribbon on your screen. Second page has the diagrams. The first page on each set has the build dates that it covers in the bottom right hand corner.

Thanks for your reply, any help with what i'm looking for? i'm no auto electrician and thought it would be a straight forward plug and play thing to add the fog lights.

What engine is in your Z3 and what is the build date? I need this information to make sure that I'm looking at the right wiring diagrams.
