If you had crossed over the main Ashbourne/Buxton road you would have been at Magpie Mine in a couple of minutes.
Never one for the direct route from the cafe we turned left in part due to the four-way temporary traffic lights and drove through Crowdecote and Monyash. So we passed the mine on the way to the Bulls Head as we came down through Sheldon - thanks for reminding me of the name, neither of us could remember it. We will have to take another trip to have a better look round :thumbsup:
