I just bought my first Z3 and got lucky to find a 1999 British Edition. My roadster isn’t perfect but I’m looking forward to making it better as the years pass. I can turn a wrench but I can also strip a bolt, lol. Looking forward to going through the archives and learning many tips and tricks. Feel free to give me any heads up about things I should watch out for. It’s a 1999 with 36k miles. But the carfax and the car have differing stories. There some small rust in the battery try that looks like old over charge spill. Sorry. Getting ahead of myself. Just got the car home after about a 250me drive home. Washed and plan to do bigger detail tomorrow to see where the journey goes.

2.8 L. My genetic code says I’m from the UK but my birth certificate says USA. I love both places. I don’t really care which side the steering wheel is on as long as the vehicle rolls. I have loved driving through Scotland, English, and Ireland. Except parking in garages the cities. That’s close quarters, lol.
Just finished clay bar on the car. There’s some rust in the battery tray but seem mostly surface. Planning to do a Griots compound with orange pad. Hopefully that’s will help. Otherwise I’ll save my money and send it to the pros. But that battery

Hi again, Just curious what makes the car 'British Edition' ? Was that a model option in the US? How does it differ from the 'regular' models?
Cheers,
Ken.

The British Traditional Exclusive Edition was built in 1999. I assume for the US market. 300 made. 2.8L engine with manual transmission, Dunkelgrün II color, Green top, champagne leather seats with green piping. 16in Double spoke silver wheels. Birdseye maple console trim.
Finished my paint clean up. It’s not perfect but I’m happy with my effort.

I think BMW should have gone all in with the US British Tradition Exclusive Edition and put the steering on the Right, Lol. Wait, it that case it may have just been a UK car in green.
