...Did you go to Sirmione...
No Hugh, we were up the other end of the lake by Limone Sul Garda. Sirmione was on our list but the traffic was pretty bad so didn't go.

The traffic problem is usually due to the crowds going to Gardaland at the south end of the lake.

We didn't get anywhere near that end of the lake Jonco. The traffic was bad down the west side of the lake:(

Thanks Bazza. It is certainly on my list. How long did you go for? It's the kind of trip that I would love to do over the next couple of years and just curious how much time I would need.
I think 6 or 7 days would be enough if you just do the alps, we went for 14 days but 7 at Lake Garda.

Must have had some great visuals. Glad you had a great time. Tip re the alarm I’ve had this happen where it desynced from my fob. If you have your manuals you should have a small yellow envope inside you will find a code and in your alarm manual it gives you instructions on how to input the code.
As stated when fob used at home everything worked fine so did it de synced?

Great write up and pictures.
Would love to go back there one day.
Experienced the horrendous traffic around lake Garda, was so grateful I was on a motorbike so I could cut through the traffic.

I’ve had it happen twice during my 9 year ownership where the fob would do nothing, but the above solution saved me tweaking the glove box out and reprogramming. Maybe a one off glitch be interesting if you can reproduce it.

Some of your photos bring back some great memories. I would certainly like to get the Zed down to Italy one day.

Love the old part of Sirmione, stayed at the Eden near the castle for holidays, but I'm no fan of driving in Italy. Well, not in tourist arears,it's manic!View attachment 84687 View attachment 84688
Lol we were the second hotel to the left of yours but the wedding was in that square in the town hall, palace Maria Callas and Sarah got to sing the Welsh national anthem on the steps ,it made people stare as many of us were wearing kilts a little wierd in the middle of Italy ;)
