Im not hearing much in the media about the reduction in fuel prices at the moment- its still 'fuel prices are going up' currently they are not. However am not sure how long they will go down before they go back up lol

I'm starting to see the 'independants' are now a smidge cheaper than the supermarkets when I drive by. Might need to brim it for the weekend, so I might be about to find out . . .

Wow, thats cherap Hugh - lowest near us is about 169.9 IIRC and not a supermarket either.
Full fat is more though.

Best thing to Gov could do is go back to E5 - it adds 7% to the cost before VAT and reduces mpg by around 10% so normal E5 would give a considerable saving to the motorist, but reduce the famrers income ;)

Costco, cheap fuel, but costs £26.40 to join the club.

It was £1.64 for petrol, £1.76 for diesel when I filled up on Wednesday. They do full fat, but I don't know the price.

www.petrolprices.com is a good site.

According to petrolprices, it's now 159.7 for unleaded, 167.9 for super unleaded and 172.7 for diesel

£169.9. I was working in Colchester for six months and driving back home every Friday for the weekend. I was spending £250 a month on petrol. I can't remember the last time I treated the car to a tank of super unleaded.
On the plus side the mpg went up to over 35 with most of my miles being on motorways or duel carriageways. Not to bad for a 23 year old 2.8 😃

Some garages are just taking the p*** now and still charging near £1.80 when many are 10 or 12p cheaper., and its not just because they are still using old stock as some of them are on main road busy sites.

The other thing I have noticed is that since the Issa brothers have 'bought' Asda, they are much slower to reduce prices than they used to be. Asda often used to really drive the prices down. That will be the same Issa brothers with a chain of petrol and service outlets round the country, but that's probably unconnected.
