I need to remove my diff-mounted speed sensor to check it isn't clogged with crap, as part of my investigations as to why my speedo is playing up.

If I remove the sensor will diff oil pour (or dribble) out, or is it mounted above the oil level?

Thanks in advance.

Most pictures of the diff back cover I have seen show the sensor above the max level plug.
If yours looks like this then YES, the sensor is above the oil level if it was filled correctly.

Thanks for help peeps. I didn't need to remove the sensor, as my speedo is now working (although still don't know what the issue was).
