Hey, new to this forum as I’ve recently purchased a 1998 1.9L Z3. It’s entirely stock and the previous owner didn’t do much besides the occasional wash and oil changes after bringing it out of winter storage.
I’ve driven about 850 miles since I bought it earlier this spring, and it’s in great shape. However with the car being ~27 years old, I’m interested in learning the common problem areas with these cars, how to check/diagnose them, and how to fix them to keep the car running. Not trying to win any beauty or speed competitions, I just want to have the confidence to turn the key and have a safe, reliable driving experience.
Happy to be here!
