My cool Z

I was told today how cool my Z was
A little girl of about 8 was watching my roof coming down and she looked amazed , she then shouted out to me “ you have a cool car their , it’s lovely “.
I thanked her and she watch me drive away .
What a sweet little girl

Must be the colour Shelly. I had the same thing when I came out of the Post Office a few weeks ago, a young girl was staring at my car. When I asked if she liked it, she said it's gorgeous.

It’s lovely when someone comments on your Z, makes me feel really proud .
I love my Z to bits still , even though I’ve have it for nearly 3 years , it only seams like I got it a few months ago

Yes , 3 years now , how time flys .
I still smile to myself when I go to get in it
Its my pride and joy

I just had to go and check to see if it was 3 years ago we got the Z
And yes it will be 3 years in October

Always good to get compliments. Whilst on hols up in the Lakes a couple of weeks ago, parked up for a cuppa and had compliments about my Zed from a guy who was visiting from Texas.

Yes. When I visit my local garden center the plantlife growing in my softtop gets a lot of admiring glances

I had that the other day at the petrol station, young lad and his dad, were like wow ,love your car it looks so fast.
Makes me smile when people appreciate our cars..

I still love mine even though I’ve had it over 14 years now, still brings a smile to my face even after all this time. Yes, I still turn and look at the car as I walk away.

Almost every time I take my Z out , somebody says something. We drove by a couple people with very questionable appearences and they yelled out a few things , all compliments mixed in with some rather salty language , but they were impressed nonetheless. Men , women , and kids have all said something at different times.

Out here in rural France we only see one or two Z3s, and people ask if it is a new model! When I went to buy a new dishwasher, and decided on the model, I looks around for the saleman - nothing. I noticed the open cash register, and then saw all the staff admiring my Z3 in the car park . . . OF course, the French do not have the UK industry which regularly tells people that it is a terrible car!

We had the same on a run once , coming over a bridge in a line , and a couple of lads shouting things at us.
Of course I had to reply back to them a few choice words haha

You know how "hoover" and "ipad", some brand names just get used to describe something even though it's not that brand.

Well. In Gemany, at least around where I lived, anything sporty-ish was a "Porsche". Dad with his son on a bike crossing the road stops in front of me points at my Matra Bagheera waiting for him to cross and he says to his son "Look Hans, a Porsche". To which I reply "I wish it bl**dy well was coz this thing is about to die on me if I don't get a move on".

No. Seriously. I loved those Bagheeras. Musta had 3 or 4 of them and know them inside out. Warts and all . . . . But I'm all right now.

I only ever worked on a couple of Bagheeras, but I was quite au fail with the 1442cc power unit fitted in the Series 1 Chrysler Alpine. I had an “S” model in Neptune Blue with grey velour upholstery, and I loved that car too. People used to complain about the tappet rattle but only because they were too lazy, or didn’t know how to adjust them properly. I still have a genuine adjusting tool for the Simca engines.
