2.8 Facelift
Ok, so every single day, I drive into the 'crescent' where I live, and some commuters to london always park in there, and there is that Z3 2.8, that is very very likely *exactly* the same age as mine (facelift, with tangoed signals but a 'clear' third braking light).
It's been dirty all the while but for the last few months, it also has lost it's exterior passenger mirror cover.

I can tell you this is bugging me a LOT, everyday! Also, the poor car is dirty as hell and could look so good with a little TLC.

Anyway. My Mad Plan would be to find a mirror cover, repaint it, replace it, and leave a Zroadster.org card on the car. I know the INSIDE of the mirror is expensive, but the exterior bits probably aren't? And the paint on amazon is about £20 and I'd be willing to do the prep and paint.

I know I can reinstall this easily enough too, pop the mirror, 4 screws, pop the casing back on, 4 screws, click the mirror back on...

So it's been nagging me for a while. Shall I? does anyone have a spare outside passenger mirror, any color?

Sorry to be a party pooper but personally I wouldn’t do it.

You’re spending your own money for someone who may be lazy rather than skint.

The owner may not actually appreciate it. You may even get in hot water.

On the other hand you may make a best friend for life. But on balance I’d suggest you stick £20 in your favourite charity box if you want to do a good deed.

I 100% can’t fault your kindness though. And well, since when is what I’ve got to say important!

Nice thought, but I personally wouldn't bother. Judging by the condition it looks to be in and the fact it's filthy, it looks like the owner has no interest in the upkeep of the car at all. It's a shame as looking at the MOT history it had only just over 32,000 miles at the end of April this year.
