The fan shroud on my 1999 2.8 was accidentally damaged but fair play the garage ordered a new one from BMW.
Prior to fitting @AntStark and I checked the OEM number on the old v the new. Identical.
New shroud to large, doesn’t fit. See photos.
Anyone else had this issue or know why?

Car went to a local garage with ex BMW mechanic. Nuts reinstated. Car hardly played up. But literally nothing showed up as being a problem and he loved the drive (apart from throttle cable). He is adamant it should have a genuine MAF.
