Definitely no auto dimming. Its the one peice key/remote version but if is it an immobilser too? Can you still drive the car without the mirror? My thoughts are it would only affect central locking and alarm. The car should work fine????

Nope Not an auto dimming one on the 1998 model. Pretty sure it’s the alarm but don’t know about immobiliser?

evening Hopefully an easy one for someone to answer. In the 2.8 pre facelift model there are wires coming from the mirror. Is this just for the central locking and alarm? Or is it part of the immobiliser? Many thanks

Yep, that’s my concern with getting one off ebay! £480 is way more than I’d want to spend as I can see it becoming a money pit from now on. Any ideas on other sources? Considering maybe even just selling as spares and repairs now, if anyone would be interested??

Just had the MOT done and turns out the exhaust is too knackered to save! Local garage who are normally pretty good can only get hold of riduculously expensive ones- £440 for the backbox and £190 for the middle section. They’re happy to fit a second hand one if i can get hold of it so first...

Turns out my exhaust is knackered! Does anyone have a 2.8 1999 exhaust going spare?

I’ve got a oil leak somewhere so just wondering what are most likely seal sources. May as well strip it and do as many seals as possible. I’m thinking the likely culprit is oil filter housing and valve cover seal, what others are worth changing? Thanks

Took the air assembly and throttle off. Turns out the valve was stuck! Bit of a clean of the throttle valve and idle air valve and running back to normal. Cheers guys
