Thinking of replacing the - probably original - soft-top on my Aug 1997 2.8 Z3 and not sure, after extensive internet research , which top to go for. There seem to be 3 options:
1. Choose pre-fabricated hood from the US (Robbins, EZon or Sierra using Stayfast/Twillfast fabrics) and get...
Thanks Ianmc for that. Can you please elaborate on how you got under the plastic to lever it off for example. I am sure that once started it should be easy to do the rest . It is getting started that I am struggling with. Did you warm it up? Did you use plastic trim tools - presumably yes?

That seems to be exactly where the coolant has been getting out because there is a little pool of coolant captured between fins on the block below that point. Well done Andyboy as I think we have probably found the problem point. If so relief that it is hopefully limited to that but dismay at...
Thanks for that specific guidance Andyboy and I will go check it out now. The latest symptoms this morning are that I started the car and everything seemed OK with no leaks underneath. I drove it a couple of kms until it reached normal temperature and started to breathe a sigh of relative relief...
