The latest Car SOS have a MX5 as the subject and revived a soft top that was really grotty, it looked great when finished. They didn’t use a pressure washer at all, but used fairly ordinary products and elbow grease. Worth looking on catch up to see how they did it. Good luck.

I've used them on my Z3 M Coupe since 2013 (on at least my second set maybe third) plus fitted them to my wife's VW Golf and never had a problem with squeaking on either car. No special cleaning, just use Meguiars shampoo and an occasional application of Rain-x plus Prestone screen wash...
