Slowest Z Tweak Thread in the History of the Forum

Wow, I had promised a slow thread, and I delivered! :) Still Zedding along with the same car. It was stable and good for a long time really, not much had changed! Now theres a few 'nags' which I need to sort out! Mostly screen washers -- seems the mini 'pumps' (CheckValves!) behind the jets...

    Sister car!

At my local supermarket yesterday. Oxford Green 2.2 -- very poor paint state, the clear coat is basically just gone. Mirrors are bubbling etc. Poor car! Interior is definitely less posh than mine, They parked in front of mine, and I waited a bit when I got back to see if they would come out...

Problem with new steering wheel install

Success! It turns out there is a white plastic clip JUST a the center of the wheel, and they are *different*. My wheel looks exactly the same as the replacement, but the replacement one has a slightly thicker/longer extension with also, a slightly different angle. Plastic clip is at the center...

Problem with new steering wheel install

So I've got my new wheel installed, I THINK I followed all the tutorial I could find, but the new wheel does a loud 'click' when I turn it, when passing the middle point... Video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/6SUwVsTgyZfhzfps9 + Removed underneath screw + panel + Unplugged the connector for the...

Slowest Z Tweak Thread in the History of the Forum

Received the new wheel, very nice actually, not /exactly/ as the auction showed as the little plastic ears aren't covered, however the rest of the wheel is absolutely spotless, it looks OEM quality; stitching is even, it's 3 colour "M", the leather is the same very dark gray you get from OEM...

    staggered MV3s

Staggered? If not, they are reps. Here is my car on these MV1's. I really love them; I know they don't work on all Z3 colors, but I think they look really the ticket with my Oxford Greed car. You WILL nee spacers tho; I have 10mm at the front and 20mm at the back.

2.8 almost stalling until it warms up

Had my intake disconnected for a while (accidentaly) the car sounded fantastic! Like a bloody old style F1 when booting it :-)

    Ah b*****.

I do the same as Bumpa -- I watch the rear view mirror and if I see the 'kink' appear halfway up, I get out of the car and kick in in place. However, it hasn't been happening that much lately, seems to be folding properly these days.

    Refurb underway (finally)

Amazing work Mazza! And here I'm feeling proud of myself adding 4 screws to the car, I'll just go hide somewhere and sulk :-)

Ordered a new steering wheel too. £180 shipped, so not to bad. There's a much fancier one with a flat bottom etc but I think it would look a bit out of place in my "slightly classy" car. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183108896967

    Jim's Z3 Journey

Hmm just pinging in, but I'd LOVE my subframe refurbed as well -- could we imagine having yours refurbed, fitted onto mine, and have mine refurbed for the Next Guy? I don't know what I'm taking about, but it seems to have worked for a few other parts like calipers and stuff so it might make sense?
